HCLTech is hiring for the role of Tester, where candidates will be responsible for ensuring software quality by executing test cases, identifying defects, and supporting the testing lifecycle. Responsibilities
Test software functionality as per defined test plans and test cases, ensuring quality standards are met
Execute test cases and update execution status in the test management or recording system, maintaining accurate reports
Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution
Coordinate with internal team members for discussions, clarifications, and task updates
Interact with clients to provide testing updates and clarify requirements when needed
Assist in creating test cases based on Functional Specifications and Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents
Requirements
Technical & Functional Skills:
Basic understanding of software testing concepts, test case execution, and defect management
Ability to understand Functional Specifications and Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents
Knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and execution processes
Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems (good to have)
Other Skills:
Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking for identifying defects
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies
